Install on Samsung Tizen SSP

Step-by-step guide for setting up Lumicast on a Samsung Tizen professional signage display.

  1. Power on your Samsung Tizen display.
  2. Select your language and press OK.
  3. Set up your internet connection (wireless or wired).
  4. Skip to the Smart Signage Privacy Notice by clicking Skip.
  5. On the Installation Type screen, choose Basic Setup.
  6. On the Auto Power Off screen, select Off and press OK.
  7. On the Play via screen, select Custom App and enter the URL: https://tizen.lumicast.com. The h in http must be lowercase. Press OK.
  8. Skip the Connect to RM server screen.
  9. Set the correct date and time.
  10. Set your desired PIN (the default is 000000 if left blank).
  11. Click Done to finalize the setup.

Once installed, the Lumicast app shows a unique six-digit activation code.

Troubleshooting

Error 7010 / Player appearing offline

These errors usually mean the player's clock is out of sync with our servers.

  1. Check System > Time > Clock Set is correctly configured.
  2. Verify NTP settings in System > Time > NTP Settings.

If NTP is enabled but misconfigured, it can cause download issues or make the player appear offline. Either disable NTP or configure it to match the correct date/time.
