Install on Philips Signage displays
Philips manufactures a line of displays aimed at digital signage: https://www.ppds.com/display-solutions/digital-signage.
These displays run Android under the hood, so the Lumicast Android app works well on them.
The easy installation
Download the provisioning ZIP
Download the ZIP from https://cdn.lumicast.media/android/philips/philips-signage-provisioning.zip.
Format USB and unpack the ZIP
Take a USB stick with at least 1 GB of space that you can wipe.
- Format the USB to FAT32 (MS-DOS (FAT) on Mac):
- macOS — open Disk Utility, select the USB drive, click Erase, pick MS-DOS (FAT) and press erase.
- Windows — open File Explorer, locate the USB drive under This PC, right-click and choose Format...:
- File system: FAT32
- Volume label (optional): e.g.
PHILIPS_USB - Quick Format: checked
- Start → OK → wait for Format Complete.
- Unzip the provisioning ZIP onto the formatted USB drive.
Factory reset the Philips TV
Insert the USB into the service USB port. Press HOME + 1888 to open the admin menu, then go to Settings > System Tools > Factory Reset.
Setup from USB
After the factory reset, you'll be walked through a few options:
- Choose your language.
- Clone media files from USB storage → Skip.
- Import Signage Display Settings from USB → Next.
Finish, the device reboots. After it boots, the Wave app opens — skip its setup. Lumicast is now configured to autostart when the display turns on.

The default admin password is 0406 (used when entering HOME + 1888).
Update the app
