# QR Code app

Show a QR code that links to any URL or contains arbitrary text — useful for Wi-Fi access, event sign-ups, menus, or contact details.

## Creating a QR Code app

1. Go to **Content > New > App** and search for the **QR Code** app.
2. Click the app to start creating a new app.
3. Enter an **app name**.
4. Enter the **QR data** — a URL, text, or any content you want encoded.
5. Optionally add a **Display text** shown below the code (e.g. "Scan to join our Wi-Fi").
6. Click **Create app**.

::: tip Test it from the expected viewing distance
Large QR codes are readable from further away. Increase the **Size** setting if the display is far from viewers.
